Elite Summer Camps

What Are Elite Summer Camps?

Every summer Mission Squash offers elite squash camps, which are open to all Houston students so that they can learn from world-class squash players.

Elite camps are led by a top world-ranked professional coach – in 2016, our camp featured guest coaches Greg Lobban (World No. 30) and Donna Urquhart (World No. 17), and in 2017 we were joined by Alister Walker, former World No. 12 and current coach at Columbia University.

Camps take place at the Mission Squash facility at Hogg Middle School in the Houston Heights during the summer vacation.

Our summer camps feature a mixture of drills, match-play, tactics and psychology workshops, and of course, fitness. Our goal is for students to have a better understanding and appreciation for squash and the lessons the game can teach.

At some camps, we may offer college consultations for families considering higher education options for scholar-athletes.

Where Does My Camp Fee Go?

Mission Squash is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All elite summer camp fees subsidize education and athletic programming for students in our scholarship program.
